Insurance Lines offered

Maritime

Hull & Machinery

Hull & Machinery covers physical damage to vessels and engines arising from uncertain incidents as well as external causes

Loss of Hire

Loss of Hire protects you against loss of income when your vessel is out of operation due to a claim subject to recovery under H&M insurance.

Protection & Indemnity

Protection & Indemnity provides coverage concerning maritime liabilities. However, P&I is complex because of its many conditions, limitations and provisions which can be included in the policy by an insurer. Therefore, an intensive risk analysis is necessary to assess collision and manning risks while providing appropriate cover for all contractual liabilities.

Freight, Demurrage & Defence

Freight, Demurrage & Defence is a legal expense insurance to cover legal costs in case of a dispute about the interpretation of contractual agreements. This includes freight disputes, demurrage, hire and rental. At the same time, it covers all matters concerning conflicts that could arise in connection with the commercial operation of the vessel.

Parametric Weather Covers

Two covers that pay out against an agreed weather index, with no physical damage needed. The trigger, data source and payout are all agreed before the operation starts.

Weather Downtime Insurance

For offshore operations where wind, waves or currents stop the work but vessel day rates, crews and overheads keep running. It protects the gap between the downtime priced into a bid and the downtime engineering expects. For example, a bid priced on 10 weather days against a 15-day engineering forecast leaves days 11–15 coming straight out of margin.

Designed for: offshore wind installation and maintenance, oil and gas operations, towage and marine projects, vessel contractors, project owners and EPC contractors.

Port Disruption Cover

How it works

  1. Define the operation: location or port, period, cargo or vessels, and operating limits.
  2. Set the trigger: wave height, wind, gusts, current, rainfall, swell, visibility or lightning.
  3. Agree the payout: a fixed amount per qualifying hour or day, up to the policy limit.
  4. Verify and pay: independent weather data confirms whether the threshold was crossed.

Request an indicative quote. You don’t need a complete submission. Send six inputs: location, period, operation, weather limits, financial exposure, and contractual position or required protection.

The payout follows the agreed index and may not equal the exact financial loss. Illustrative information only; cover, triggers, payout, capacity and pricing are subject to underwriting and policy terms.

War Risk Protection

Political volatility can pose a significant threat to your business. The war risk protection cover helps safeguard your business against unforeseen political events and the consequential economic implications they could pose for your business.

Charterers liability

Charterers are exposed to significant risks caused by third parties due to contractual obligations in Charter Parties or Bills of Lading.

Marine Cargo Transport Risk incl. project cargo-Coverage can then be tailored to reflect the nature and value of goods, including specific considerations for fragile or temperature-sensitive cargo.
